    Bessie Louise Pyle, 84, of Salisbury RD 1, died April 7, 1996, at
  Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home.  Born April 13, 1911, in Quemahoning
  Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Stern)
  Alexander.  Surviving are her husband, Jack D. Pyle; 3
  step-daughters: Judith Yoder, Salisbury; Karen Forshaw and Jacqueline
  Wuilliez, both of Tappahannock, Va.; 2 brothers, Edward Alexander,
  Berlin; and Charles Alexander, Johnstown; a sister, Romaine
  Mattonias, Cleveland, Ohio; 4 step-grandchildren and 1 step
  great-grandson.  Mrs. Pyle was a member of the Southern Baptist
  Church and had been employed as a seamstress for Meyersdale Mfg.
  Co.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9  p.m. Tuesday at the Newman
  Funeral Home, Inc., Salisbury, where service will be conducted at 11
  a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating.  Interment,
  Salisbury Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the
  charity of the donor's choice.
