Born April 13, 1911, in Quemahoning Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna (Stern) Alexander. Surviving are her husband, Jack D. Pyle; 3 step-daughters: Judith Yoder, Salisbury; Karen Forshaw and Jacqueline Wuilliez, both of Tappahannock, Va.; 2 brothers, Edward Alexander, Berlin; and Charles Alexander, Johnstown; a sister, Romaine Mattonias, Cleveland, Ohio; 4 step-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandson. Mrs. Pyle was a member of the Southern Baptist Church and had been employed as a seamstress for Meyersdale Mfg. Co. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., Salisbury, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating.
