Pyle, 91, Somerset, died Dec. 16, 2004, at her residence. Born March 22, 1913, in Somerset Township, she is the daughter of the late James and Ada (Glessner) Hornig. Also preceded in death by husband of 48 years, Wilbur Pyle; daughter, Cleo Rae Fox; brother, James Hornig Jr.; sisters, Mertle Sapp, Alda Holt, Margaret Page and Doris Sarver. Survived by children: Norman Fox and wife, Elayne, Erie; Jean Canzano and husband Jack, Vandergrift; Coleen Kusthner and husband Jack, Philadelphia; Barbara Fox Hagle and husband Larry, California; Karen Delancey and husband John, Virginia; Lowell Pyle and wife Janice, Acosta; Eleanor Soisson and husband, Bill, Friedens; Dottie Borosky and husband, Mark, Somerset; and Wilbur Pyle Jr.; grandson Troy Gracie and wife Cindy; brother, Charles Glessner; and sister, Gerry Niehenke. Also 27 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Member of First United Methodist Church. She was part owner of Pyle's Boron Service Station, where she ran a convenience store in the '60s and '70s. Special thanks to grandchildren, Brenda Roberts, Florida, Tracey and Jeff Dunmeyer, Friedens; the staff of Conemaugh Health and Somerset "In Touch" Hospice. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Patricia Nelson officiating.
