Born Aug. 13, 1907 in Johnstown, daughter of Jonathan and Virginia (Yost) Adams. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 60 years, Arthur C. Pyle, March 25, 1985; son, Ronald, March 16, 1984; son-in-law, Lloyd Koontz, May 16, 1997; great grandson, Bradley Koontz; daughter-in-law, Grace (Saylor) Pyle; sisters: Mary Kesslar, Alice Short, and Clara Adams and brothers: William and Melvin. Survived by daughter, Marietta Koontz of Blairsville RD; son Jay A., married to Nancy Ryniak of Jennerstown; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and sisters, Jesse Sheets and Evelyn Thomas, both of Jerome. Member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Boswell, where she had been a Sunday school teacher; former member of the auxiliary to the Boswell Volunteer Fire Department and the Covenant church's ladies auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Michael A.
