Born June 25, 1922 in Acosta, son of the late Charles A. and Olive (Sayers) Ash. Survived by wife, D. Elaine Ash and these sons: David E. Pyle of Columbia, S.C.; and Dennis C. Pyle, of Lilburn, Ga.; also five grandchildren. Brother of Ray Pyle of Ocala, Fla. Retired field service engineer for the Hill Refrigeration Co. of Trenton, N.J. 1942 graduate of Somerset High School. World War II Army veteran. Member of the Little River United Methodist Church; Masonic Lodge of Cumberland, Md.; Order of Eastern Star of Cheverly, Md.; Elks Lodge of Riverdale, Md.; and the VFW of Calabash, N.C. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, the Rev. William Sleasman officiating.
