Born Sept. 9, 1919 in Listonburg, daughter of Albert Lawrence and Jeannette (Camp) Holliday. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Leonard Vogel, who died Jan. 30, 1965; and second husband, James L. Pyle, who died Dec. 28, 1998; four brothers: Edgar, Frederick, Sylvester and Herbert Holliday. Survived by children: John A. Vogel, married to the former Betty Smith, Fort Hill; Edwin Vogel, married to the former Nancy Kelly, Fort Hill; and Mrs. Richard E. (Virginia) Ross, Somerset; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Sister of Delbert Holliday and Freeman Holliday, both of Fort Hill; Victor Holliday, Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Paul (Irene) Hussey, Orange, Calif.; Mrs. Wayne (Vi) Blocher, Springs; and Mrs. Ruth Sausman, Confluence. Member of First United Methodist Church. Licensed practical nurse from Somerset State Hospital, retiring in 1967 with 19 years service. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Patricia M. Nelson officiating.
