Pyle, 82, of Water Level Road, Somerset, died Nov. 15, 1998 at Somerset Hospital. Born May 12, 1916 in Somerset, son of the late Martin and Emma (Zimmerman) Pyle. Preceded in death by brothers, George, Joseph and Benjamin. Survived by wife of 56 years, the former Dorothy Weaver; son, Jeff, Somerset; grandchildren: Jody Lee Ann Pyle and Jeff Pyle Jr.; and brothers, Glenn of Somerset and Fred of Mayo, Md. Retired worker for the Pa. Turnpike Commission. U.S. Army Air Corps veteran in World War II. Member of the First Christian Church, Somerset. He was avid bowler who bowled in the Monday night church league. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be held at 11 am. Wednesday, with Rev. Daniel Nicksich officiating.
