Pyle, 83, of 6 Clinton St., Sidney, died Monday, March 21, 1988 in the Ellen Memorial Center, Honesdale. She was born July 13, 1904 in Somerset. The daughter of William and Clara (Miller) Barnett. She was married to Ralph F. Pyle on June 30, 1929 in Goldsboro. He died Jan. 26, 1958. A 50 year area resident, she was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church, Sidney, a member and past matron of Sidney Chapter 255, O.E.S., a member of the Delaware Valley Humane Society and the Sidney Hospital Guild; a former member and past president of the Sidney Garden Club; and a former member of the Sidney Monday Club. Surviving are four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Estella Winship of Jessup, Md.; Mrs. Lena McMelligott of Cornith; Mrs. Annabelle Emert of Schansville and Mrs. Lucille Snyder of Somerset; a brother, Harry Barnett of Sipesville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mrs. Sally Fuller, who died Dec. 14, 1984. Funeral and committal services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 1988 in C.H. Landers Chapel, Sidney, with the Rev. Fr. Irving F. Ballert Jr., rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Sidney, officiating. Burial will be later in Casebeer Cemetery, Somerset. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
