Pyle, 75, of 546 West Broadway St., Rockwood, died Nov. 7, 1985 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 6, 1910 in Humbert, Pa., son of the late George and Mary (Ohler) Pyle. Preceded in death by an infant daughter; one brother, Harvey; and a half brother, James Younkin. Survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Dorothy Phillippi; one son, Earl M., Friedens RD 2; and a daughter, Doris B., Rockwood Rd 3; five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sara Sanner, Garrett RD 1; and Mrs. Elizabeth Pyle, Rockwood RD 2. A former member of Casselman United Methodist Church. A retired B&O Railroad car inspector. Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Somerset. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home where funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Amiee Twigg officiating.
