Pyle, 74, of Jennerstown, died June 8 at Latrobe Hospital. Born Sept. 30, 1899, in Jenner Township, daughter of Milton A. and Susan Ross Pickworth. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Ellis M., March 6, 1966, brother, I.G. Pickworth, and sister Mrs. Mary Hay. Survived by these children: Anita, wife of Paul Hammer, Jennerstown; Forrest, married to the former Louise Louther, Blairsville; Mary, wife of Thomas Palmer, Warren, Ohio; Dalton, married to the former Evelyn Nees, Alliance, Ohio; Dorothy Ann, wife of John Weber, Ligonier; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandson. Was a sister of Mrs. Olive Wilson and Robert M. Pickworth, both of Florida; Mrs. Hazel Matthews, Somerset; and Mrs. Goldie Speigle, Boswell. Was a long-time member of Jenner Township Baptist Church, and Jenner Grange 1661, of which she was a past master, lecturer and chaplain. Member of Order of Eastern Star, Somerset Lodge 138. One of the founders and a charter member of Laurel Mountain Senior Citizens. Was a member, and held various offices, in Seventh Society of Farm Women. Was a Republican committeewoman in Jennerstown for many years. Charter member and past president of Jennerstown Fire Company Auxiliary. Member of Somerset County Historical Society, and charter member DAR, Ft. Ligonier Lodge. Friends were received from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and will be received from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. H.G. Hoffman officiating. Eastern Star service 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
