All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ DONATO QUATTRO Donato Quattro, aged 48 years, died at his home, 412 Olinger St., Meyersdale, as the result of a heart ailment, on Saturday, January 3, at 7:30 p.m. He had been ailing for about ten years, but was seriously ill for only a week. His wife, the former Josephine Bruno, died on February 3, 1938. Surviving are five daughters; Florence, Maria, Nancy, Irene and Angelina. Two sons also preceded him in death - Albert, who was killed while in action on Leyte, P.I., Dec. 20, 1944, and Anthony, who was dragged to death by a run away cow he was leading, when the family lived in Bell, near Somerset. His mother, Philmonia Quattro, and two sisters, Edda and Louisa, also survive, in Italy. Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning in SS. Philip and James Catholic Church. Interment was made in the church cemetery, under the direction of R. Reich & Son. Meyersdale Republican, January 8, 1948
