Queer, 65, Somerset RD 7, died Oct. l, 1988 at Somerset Community Hospital. Born Oct. 2, 1922, in Quemahoning Township, son of the late Edward and Josie (Brant) Queer-Kinsinger. Also preceded in death by stepfather, Norman Kinsinger, and a brother, Ray. Survived by wife, the former Jean Fike; and these children: Mrs. Joseph (Donna) Messina and Mrs. William (Pamela) Lorentz, both of Sterling, Va.; Mrs. Delbert (Margie) Kimmel, Carlisle; Claude E. Jr., Montgomery, Ala.; and Timothy Alan, Somerset; and seven grand-children. Brother of: Mrs. Merle (June) Shaffer, North Olmstead, Ohio, and Mrs. Ross (Vivian) McClemens, Somerset. Member of First Christian Church, Somerset. Former owner of Fike Plumbing and Heating. Life member of Somerset Volunteer Fire Department. Charter member and past president of Steak Club, Somerset. Friends received Sunday evening and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m., the Rev. Paul Weber officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Heart Fund. Somerset Fire Department memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
