Queer, 82, of 1013 Main St., Berlin, died May 14, Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born April 5, 1892, in Berlin, the son of the late Levi and Catherine (Hoffman) Queer. Preceded in death by two sons, five brothers and five sisters. Survived by his wife, the former Mae E. Rose, and these children: Alfred E., Berlin; John W., Willoughby, Ohio; Thomas L. and Merle L., both of Ashland, Ohio; Mrs. Evenelle R. Fox, Linthicum, Md.; and 13 grandchildren. Was a member of the Berlin Brethren Church and men's bible class, a World War I veteran, a member of American Legion Post 445, VFW Post 7294, vice-commander of World War I Veterans Barracks 3218, Somerset, and a member of the Senior Citizens of Berlin and the Roxbury Mountain Field and Stream Sportsmen's Association. Friends will be received in the Johnson & Son Funeral Home, Berlin, after 7 p.m. Wednesday, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, with Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating.
