JACOB RADCLIFFE

  Jacob Radcliffe, a native of Bedford County, and for many years a resident of 
West Salisbury, died in the County Home near Somerset, Sept. 30, 1940, of 
arterial aclerosis at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 22 days.
  He followed coal mining most of his life, and was a good citizen.  Near 
relatives who survive him are Mrs. William Short and son Fay, of Cumberland, Md.
  The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 o'clock p.m. today (Thursday) at the 
Funeral Home of Stanley M. Thomas, in Salisbury, who prepared the body for 
burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, and secured Rev. A. M. Wright, pastor of the 
local Evangelical and Reformed Church to conduct the funeral service.
