He followed coal mining most of his life, and was a good citizen. Near relatives who survive him are Mrs. William Short and son Fay, of Cumberland, Md. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 o'clock p.m. today (Thursday) at the Funeral Home of Stanley M. Thomas, in Salisbury, who prepared the body for burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, and secured Rev. A. M. Wright, pastor of the local Evangelical and Reformed Church to conduct the funeral service. Meyersdale Republican, October 3, 1940
