  RAFFERTY
  
  Irene (Plant) Rafferty, 77, Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin, formerly of
  Boswell, died Sept. 8, 1997, at Meadow View.  Born Jan. 14, 1920, in England,
  daughter of Albert and Beatrice (Walker) Plant.  Preceded in death by parents
  and brother, Albert.  Survived by sister, Betty, wife of Warren Zimmerman,
  Wyandotte, Mich.; sister-in-law, Iris Plant, Phoenix, Ariz., and several
  nieces, nephews and cousins.  Member of Jerome Church of the Nazarene.
  Graduate of Nazarene College, Quincy, Mass.  Teacher in private and public
  schools for approximately 15 years.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where
  service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Richard Jones
  officiating.  Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery, near Jerome.
