Raley, 77, of Pocahontas Road, died Feb. 20, 1988 in Frostburg Community Hospital, Frostburg, Md. Born in Avilton, Md., May 15, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Minnie (Dorsey) Layman. Her husband, William E. Raley, died Jan. 21, 1976. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pocahontas, and the Eastern Garrett County Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Warfle, Twinsburg, Ohio; Mrs. Geraldine Ultis, Finzel, Md. and Mrs. Betty Fresh, Frostburg, Md.; three sons, Paul Eugene Raley, Durand, Mich.; Edward J. Raley, Hagerstown, Md.; and William L. Rice, Finzel, Md.; two brothers, Tracy Layman, Vestal, N.Y.; and James Layman, Arlington, Va.; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Avilton, Tuesday at 11 am. by the Rev. William Moody. Interment, parish cemetery.
