  VERNA L. RALEY 
  
  Verna L. Raley, 65, of Pocahontas, died Friday, Sept. 16, 1988, at the
  Washington Hospital Center.  Born March 12, 1923, in Wellersburg, she was
  the daughter of the late George R. and Florence (Kennell) Sturtz.  She was a
  member of the Pentecostal church.  Surviving are her husband, Ralph J.
  Raley; two sons, Richard E. Raley, LaVale, Md.; and Harold E. Raley,
  Carlisle; one sister, Mrs. Goldie Getson, Mount Savage, Md.; three
  brothers, Raymond Sturtz, Hyndman; John Sturtz, Wellersburg; and Herbert
  Sturtz, Ellerslie, Md.; and four grandchildren.  Friends were received at
  the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, Md. where services were conducted Monday
  at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Louis E. Haus.  Interment, Greenville Cemetery,
  Pocahontas.
