  Dorothy (Van Sickel) Ralston 85, died Feb. 6, 1999, at Suncoast Hospital,
  Largo, Fla.  Born Oct. 2, 1912, in Casselman, daughter of the late Clyde and
  Annie (Ream) Van Sickel, and raised by her grandparents, the late Henry and
  Sarah (Phillippi) Van Sickel.  Preceded in death in 1962 by her husband,
  George L. Ralston.  Survived by cousins, E. Lincoln Van Sickel, Somerset;
  Celeste (Van Sickel) Gallup, Gibsonia; Col. (Retired) Daniel P. Van Sickel,
  Panama City, Fla.; and Mrs. Kay (Bungard) Shaver, Seminole, Fla.  Longtime
  resident of Imperial Point in Largo, Fla.  Member of Church of the Isles,
  the DAR and many civic groups in the Largo area.  She was also active in
  crafts. Graduate of Rockwood High School and Miami University of Ohio with
  a master's degree from Wittenberg University.  She was a longtime
  mathematics teacher in public schools in Dayton, Ohio, and Tampon Springs,
  Fla.  Memorial service will be held today at Serenity Gardens in Largo, Fla.
  There will be a graveside service at Rockwood IOOF Cemetery at 11 a.m.
  Saturday with the Rev. Keith Fink officiating.  Local arrangements under the
  direction of Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood.
