  MARIAN I. RANKER
  
  Marian Irene Ranker, 74, of Buffalo Mills RD 1, died Dec. 26, 1995, at her
  home.  Ranker was born Dec. 17, 1921, in Harrison Township, near Bard.  She
  was the daughter of the late Dewey W. and Elsie M. (Stuby) Shirey.  She was
  also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey C. Ranker, on Nov. 4, 1992.
  She is survived by four sons: Robert H. "Beanie" Ranker, at home; Ray J.
  Ranker and Richard E. Ranker, both of Hyndman RD 1; and Gary E. Ranker,
  Buffalo Mills RD 1: two daughters: Virginia I. Merritt, Cumberland, Md.;
  Anna L. Wambaugh, New Baltimore; three brothers: George Shirey, Norfolk,
  Va.; Robert Shirey, Charles Town, W.Va.; and Donald Shirey, St. Louis, Mo.;
  two sisters: Doris Stahl, Altoona: and Mary Beegle, Bedford; 19
  grandchildren; four step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
  Ranker was a homemaker and a former member of the Gravel Pit E.U.B. Church.
  Friends were received Dec. 28 at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home in
  Hyndman.  Services were conducted Dec. 29 at the funeral home, with Rev.
  Terry L. Campbell officiating.  Interment, Madley Cemetery.
