"Nate" Rascona, 71, Somerset, passed on March 7, 2006, at his home. Born Dec. 24, 1934, in Confluence, he is the son of the late Nunziato and Grazia (Nunnari) Rascona. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Sebastian, and sisters Palma and Josephine. He is survived by his brother Greg, married to the former Sharon Jones, Cincinnati, Ohio; sister-in-law Lucy (Maruca) Rascona; nephews Louie, Sam, John, Dave, Nick, and Ben; and nieces Vicki, Sandy, Kim, and Annette. He was a 1952 graduate of Somerset High School where he was a multiple sport star. He then went on to graduate from Franklin and Marshall College in 1956 and Dickinson Law School in 1959. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and upon discharge embarked on a long career practicing law in Somerset. He was a longtime member of the Somerset County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Somerset County Fly Fishermen's Association. He was a member of St. Peter's Church in Somerset where he sang in the choir. He was a local sports enthusiast, knowledgeable about and attending Somerset High School athletic events of all kinds for 40 years. He also was an avid fly fisherman and golfer. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where vigil for the deceased will be held 2 p.m. Friday. A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Church, Monsignor Samuel Tomaselli celebrant. Interment at Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Peter's Church, 433 W. Church St., Somerset, or In Touch Hospice, 1590 North Center Ave., Somerset.
