His death was due to a heart ailment. Funeral services were held in Evansville, Indiana, Tuesday morning, January 28. Requiem high mass was sung in St. Mary's Catholic Church, the same church in which he was christened and confirmed. Interment in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. Mr. Rauch, who was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James P. Rauch, was born Jan. 15, 1891, was well known in Garrett and had a host of friends here. In April 1919 he was married to Miss Pearl Phennicie, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Hoos Phennicie, who survives him. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lula Rauch Shue, Miss Neal Rauch and one brother, Edward Rauch, all of Evansville, Indiana. Before his retirement in 1936, he was vice president of the Indian Oil Refinery Company of Evansville and later manager of the Texas Oil Company of Indianapolis. Miss Anna Phennicie and her sister, Mrs. Joseph Paar, of Baltimore, attended the funeral services of their brother-in-law. Miss Phennicie returned to her home in Garrett the following Wednesday.
