  JAMES A. RAVENSCRAFT 
  
  James Allen Ravenscraft Sr., 85, Meyersdale RD 4 died Dec, 3, 1978 in
  Berlin.  Born Jan. 3, 1893 in Sand Patch, he was a son of the late John and
  Alice Ravenscraft.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ruby
  Viola Hoover, three daughters: Ruth Elaine Pugh, Norma Jean Lottig and
  Janice Ravenscraft; two sons: Charles and Bernard.  He is survived by these
  children: Merle, Saltsburg; James Jr., Meyersdale; Blaine, Reisterstown,
  Md.; Mrs. Alice McKenzie, Lorain, Ohio; Mrs. Shirley Leasure, Berlin; Mrs.
  Sarah Smith, Ravenna, Ohio; Mrs. Mabel Crissinger and Mrs. LaVerne Frank,
  both of Baltimore, Md.; 42 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren.
  Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, where services were
  conducted with the Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery.
