Ravenscroft of Sand Patch R.D. 1, died last Thursday in Community Hospital, Somerset, after an illness of heart trouble. Mrs. Ravenscroft was the mother of 13 children, 12 of whom survive: Mrs. Harry Smith of Meyersdale, Mrs. Donald Lottig of Sand Patch, Mrs. Silas Pugh of St. Paul, Mabel, Merle, James, Shirley, LaVerne, Norman, Charles, Blaine and Bernard, at home. An infant daughter passed away two months ago. Two brothers, Charles E. Hoover of Baltimore, Md., and Robert Hoover, of Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. H. J. Secrest, of Rockwood, and Miss Mabel Hoover of Boswell also survive. The deceased was a daughter of Hiram and Minerva (Kuhs) Hoover, both deceased, and was born in Somerset County. Funeral services were conducted at the late home Sunday afternoon, by Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger. Interment was in Union Cemetery in Meyersdale under the direction of H. R.
