The funeral services for Samuel C. Raybeck who died at his home here on Tuesday, were held in the Methodist Church on Friday afternoon, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m., Rev. S. L. Burson officiating. Burial was made in the Addison Cemetery. Mr. Raybeck was born on July 1, 1871, at Brookville, Pa. He moved to Confluence 31 years ago, being employed by the Baltimore and Ohio R.R. as a signal maintainer. He was forced to retire in 1931 due to illness. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, having served as a member of the official board for quite a number of years. He was also a member of the Town Council. He was twice married, being preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Clara Frazee Raybeck. He was remarried 15 years ago to Miss Hallie Enos of Rockwood. Surviving besides his widow are two children, James Raybeck of Gary, Indiana, and Mrs. David McClain of Crown Point. He also leaves four grandchildren and the following brothers, Thomas of Brookville, Bert of Miami, Fla., and Lyman of Confluence. Meyersdale Republican, November 27, 1941
