Rayman, 82, Stouffer Hill Road, Friedens, died Dec. 23, 1997, at Patriot Manor, Somerset. Born Sept. 28, 1915, in Stonycreek Township, son of David and Ida Weigle Rayman. Preceded in death by parents; sisters Edith Landis and Leora Rayman. Survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Betty Arden, and these children. Eileen Custer and companion David Richards, of Harrisburg; Carol, married to William E. Shaver of Somerset; Kathy, married to William Wildenmann, Stoystown, and James Day, at home; grandchildren: Tammy Guthrie, David Custer, Jeffrey and Michael Shaver and Gail and Jill Wildenmann, and great-grandson, Luke Guthrie. World War II Army veteran. Retired from Svonavec Coal. Member of Faith Lutheran Church, Shanksville American Legion Post and Somerset VFW. Family will receive friends from 24 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Randall J. Marburger.
