All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ IDA BELLE RAYMOND Mrs. Ida Belle (Dahl) Raymond, aged 60, wife of Frederick George Raymond, died unexpectedly of a cerebral hemorrhage at 3:15 o'clock Friday afternoon, Feb. 7, at her home, 319 Olinger Street, Meyersdale. She was born in Meyersdale, Oct. 11, 1886, a daughter of Daniel and Catherine (Roman) Dahl. Surviving are her husband, six sons and three daughters: Carl, Akron, O.; George, Pontiac, Mich.; John, Denver, Colo.; Daniel, Joseph and William at home; Catherine, wife of Joseph Bennett, Long Island, N.Y.; Mary, wife of Frank Kerr, Cumberland, Md.; and Anna Margaret, senior nurse, Valley Forge Veterans' Hospital, Coatesville. Four brothers survive: Alfred Dahl, Yakima, Wash.; Clarence J. Dahl, Pittsburgh; John and William Dahl, Meyersdale. Two brothers, Casper and Charles, preceded her in death. She also left 14 grandchildren. Funeral services, with requiem mass, were held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock in SS. Philip and James Catholic Church, with the rector, Rev. Father T. J. Houghton officiating. By her request her six sons acted as pallbearers. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of R. Reich & Son. Attending the obsequies from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence J. Dahl, Pittsburgh and Sister Catherine Labouse (Madeline Dahl), Frank Steinkirchner and daughter, Mary, of Listie, and Joseph Steinkirchner and daughter, Evelyn, of Johnstown.
