  Thomas P. Read, 80, of Stoystown RD 2 died May 26, 1995, in Somerset
  Hospital.  Born May 27, 1914, in Tyrone.  Son of the late Thomas A. and Emily
  (Casey) Read.  Preceded in death by a son, Robert.  Survived by his wife,
  Virginia (Wilt) Read, and these children: Ronald, Weirton, W.Va.; Philip,
  Stoystown RD 2; Paul, North Carolina; Thomas P. Jr., Harrisburg; William,
  Louisiana; Donna Sambol, Somerset; Emily Barbuschak, Stoystown RD 2; Leora,
  Harrisburg, and Mary Kay Frye, North Carolina.  Also 17 grandchildren, 2
  great-grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Tompkins, North CarMina.  He was a
  member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Hooversville, and Fourth
  Degree Knights of Columbus.  He was a graduate of Eckels College of
  Embalming.  He was a retired funeral director.  Formerly operated funeral
  homes in Blair, Cambria and Somerset counties.  Mass of Christian Burial
  will be conducted at 9 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Holy Family Church,
  Hooversville, Rev. Father Harold N. Biller officiating.  Interment, St.
  Mary's Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.  Arrangements in the charge of Robert H.
  Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset.
