Ream, 56, of 415 Washington Avenue, Tyrone, died unexpectedly Friday, May 23, 1975, at his home. Born Dec. 29, 1918, in Berlin, he was a son of John O. and Zella B. (Wetmiller) Ream. On June 13, 1942, at Glen Campbell, he was married to Martha V. Wilmoth. For the past 26 years he had been a Tyrone resident, where he conducted a private medical practice. Surviving are his wife; four children: Mrs. Verna Laman, Palo Alto, Calif.; Dr. Norman B. Ream Jr., Lewisburg, W. Va.; Peter W., of Penn Hills, Pittsburgh; and John 0. Ream II, Clermont, Fla.; also five grandsons, one granddaughter; his mother of Berlin; a sister, Mrs. John R. Kretchman of Meyersdale; and three brothers, John O. Ream Jr. and Frank C. Ream, both of Berlin; and Joseph M., Washington, D.C. Dr. Ream was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a member of the administrative board. He received a bachelor's degree from Franklin and Marshall College in 1940 and his medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1943. During World War II he served as a captain with the Army Air Corps in the European Theatre. Private memorial service was held at the convenience of the family. Meyersdale Republic, May 29, 1975 [R173]
