Born July 6, 1909, in Middlecreek Township, son of the late Jesse and Anna Clara (Faidley) Ream, also preceded in death by a sister, Elta Brant. Survived by his wife, the former Alverta Marie Whipkey, to whom he was married for 61 years, and these daughters: Mrs. Kenneth E. (Ruth) Shockey of Friedens RD 1, Mrs. Robert Rhea (Holder) Fayetteville, N.C.; and Ms. Judy L. Swank of Friedens RD 1, also 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Brother of Mrs. Blanche Singo-Ansell, Rockwood RD 2, Mrs. Jay Evalene Whipkey of Berlin RD 1, Elwood Ream of Rockwood RD 2, Mrs. Lawrence Luella Lehman of Albany, Ore., Former owner and operator of Ream's Garage in Listie. Member of Faith Lutheran Church, Wills, Listie Hunting Camp. He was a charter director of the Listie Fire company. Friends received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday (today) at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. William G. Triebe officiating.
