Ream, 91, of Somerset, died Aug. 22, 1975, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born June 9, 1884, in Stonycreek Township, he was a son of the late Franklin P. and Henrietta Speicher Ream. He was preceded in death by hls first wife, the former Emma Snyder, his second wife, Maude Haupt McQuade; a son and a stepson. Surviving are these children: Mrs. Homer (Blanche) Saylor of York; Mrs. Taylor (Victoria) Lowry, of Putman Hall, Fla.; and Harvey S. of Sarasota, Fla.; these stepchildren: Mrs. Florentine Shaffer, Canonsburg; Mrs. Dorothy Hedlund and Miss Emma McQuade, both of Venice, Fla.; Mrs. Francis Klingenhagen, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; and William McQuade, Berlin; also 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ida-Fritts, of Long Beach, Calif. He was a retired farm manager of Somerset State Hospital and was a member of the Horse and Mule Association and of the Eagles. Funeral service was conducted Sunday afternoon in Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, Somerset, with Rev. Richard Shellenberger officiating. Interment in Berlin Cemetery. Meyersdale Republic, August 26, 1995 [R184]
