Reckley, 60, Wiley Ford, W.Va., died Saturday, April 14, 1984 in Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 19, 1924, and was a son of Mrs. Myrtle (Brinkman) Reckley, and the late Alvy J. Reckley. The minister was pastor of the Faith Assembly of God Church, Wiley Ford and a former pastor of Faith Assembly of God Church, Somerset. He was a retired B&O Railroad machinist, and an Army veteran of World War II, where he served with the Army engineers. He was a member of the Cumberland Local Machinist Union, He had been ordained 25 years ago. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Florice A. (Peggy) (Roy) Reckley; two sons, Paul A. Reckley, Cumberland, Maryland; and Daniel Reckley, Sterling, Va.; six daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Hernandez and Mrs. Kathleen A. Arnold, both of Frederick; Mrs. Barbara E. Ours, Springfield, Va.; Mrs. Linda A. Beachy, Confluence; Carolyn Reckley, Carpenters Addition, and Joyce A. Reckley, at home; a brother, John Reckley; Cumberland, Md.; three sisters, Mrs. Phyllis Hite, Bedford; Mrs. Thelma McDonald Williamston, N.C.; Mrs. Louise Lewis, New Market, Md. and nine grandchildren. Friends were received, at the Scarpelli Funeral Home. Services were held Wednesday. The Republic, April 19, 1984 [R190]
