Reckner Sr., 60, of Rockwood RD 3 died Aug. 2, 1982, in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 19, 1922, in Confluence, a son of Bruce and Laura (Cooper) Reckner. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Bittenbender) Reckner; six sons: Ronald of Meyersdale; Frank Jr. pt Winter Harbor, Me.; Kenneth, Rockwood RD 2, Mickey and Michael, both at home; and Mark of Somerset; by these daughters: Mrs. Terry (Nancy) Deeter, Berlin RD 3, Mrs. Calvin (Donna) Mowry, Central City RD 1; Mrs. Donald (Patricia) Baker, Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Homer (Ann) Barron, Stoystown RD 3; Miss Janie and Miss Mary, both of Rockwood; and Mrs. James (Lynette) Leazier of Berlin; three brothers: Donald of Rochester; Carl of Rittman, Ohio; and Charles Heining, Rockwood RD 3; three sisters: Mrs. June Shaffer of Somerset; Mrs. Rosie Purbaugh, Rockwood RD 3; and Mrs. Phyllis Emerick of Rockwood; 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was, the manager of Henry's Cafe Softball Team for many years. He was a railway telegrapher for the B&O Railroad and a veteran of World War II. His death terminates a marriage union of 38 years. Friends were received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Aimee Twigg and the Rev. Edd Meyers officiating. Interment, Kingwood I.O.O.F.
