  James E. Reckner, 76, of Jerome died Dec. 22, 1997, at Lee Hospital.  Born
  July 29, 1921, in Boynton.  Son of Harry and Ada (Shroyer) Reckner.  Preceded
  in death by parents.  Survived by wife, the former Ethel Kurtz; daughter
  Jacqueline, wife of Patrick Roberts, Lancaster; and grandchildren Kurt and
  Erin Roberts.  Brother of Albert, Euldean Shields and Naomi Oaks, all of
  Jerome; Donna Shaffer, Hooversville; Janice Lint, Boswell, and Dorcas
  Garlesky, Hollsopple.  Member of Jerome Church of the Nazarene and the UMWA.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 10:30 a.m.
  Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell.  Funeral service
  at 11 a.m. Friday at Jerome Church of the Nazarene.  No visitation Christmas
  Day and no viewing at the church. The Rev. Clifford Ott officiating.
  Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
