Born April 29, 1921 in Elk Lick Township, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence D. and Mary Edith (Mort) Durst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Rex" Reckner, May 28, 1993 and two brothers, John Henry Oester and Manford "Mats" Durst. Survived by a daughter, Patricia Showalter and husband, Michael, Salisbury; a granddaughter, Scottie Showalter and fiancee, Dan Imhoff; a sister. Katie Durst, Walla Walla, Wash.; a brother, Donald Durst, Orlando, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the L.C.W. Retired from American I.T.P. and the I.L.G.W.U. having worked in several local garment factories. During World War II, she worked at the Kelly Springfield Tire Co., to produce ammunition for American soldiers. Charter member of Salisbury American Legion Auxiliary, former member of several bowling leagues. Avid supporter of youth athletics in both Salisbury and Frostburg. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, P.A., Grantsville, Md. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday. Services will be conducted at 2 p m., Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.
