Born Dec. 3, 1928, in Elk Lick Township, son of the late William Charles and Carrie Elizabeth (Suter) Reckner. Also preceded in death by brother, Floyd, and sister, Betty. Survived by wife, the former Gloria F. Bowser; a son, William John Reckner, Boynton; daughter, Susan Kay Gartner, Dunedin, Fla.; sister, Dorothy Stanley, Middletown, Pa.; grandson, William Kyle Reckner. Member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury. Retired tire builder and shipper for Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. Veteran of Korean Conflict. Life member of Salisbury VFW and member of Salisbury American Legion. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be accorded by Salisbury VFW and American Legion.
