  WILLIAM H. RECKNER 
  
  William H. Reckner, 80, of Confluence, died Nov. 1, 1978 at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  He was born Dec. 24, 1897 in Henry Clay Township, a son
  of the late Calvin and Elizabeth (Weir) Reckner.  He was preceded in death by
  his wife, Estella Show and a son, Harry.  He is survived by the following
  children: Mrs. Alta Tannehill of Confluence RD 1; Mrs. Helen Biszantz of
  Burlington, N.C.; Mrs. Jeanne McNamara of Baltimore, Md.; John C. of
  Confluence, Mrs. Betty Beckett of New Stanton; and Mrs. Mildred Conn of
  Confluence.  He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 26
  great-grandchildren; a half-brother, Harvey Reckner of Confluence RD 1; and
  two half-sisters, Mrs. Della Frantz of Braddock and Mrs. Grace Rodahaver of
  Alexandria, Va.  He was a member of the Turkeyfoot Valley Baptist Church;
  Three Rivers and Sixty-Plus senior citizens groups, and the Confluence
  Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a director of the Stough Housing, Inc.
  and served on the Turkeyfoot Valley School Board for 40 years.  Friends were
  received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where funeral services
  were held with the Rev. James Show and the Rev. Albert Boater, officiating.
  Interment, Johnson Chapel Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be
  made to the American Heart Association.
