All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ SADIE RIEHL RECTOR Mrs. Sadie Riehl Rector, 74, widow of the late Samuel Rector and a former resident of Garrett, died Sunday, December 22, at her home in Akron, Ohio, after an illness of eleven weeks. Mrs. Rector who was born in Somerset County, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Reihl and lived in Garrett for many years and had a host of friends in Garrett and vicinity. She is survived by a son, Harry, and a daughter, Emma Rector Brown; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Akron. A son, McKinley, died several years ago. Also surviving are two sisters, Ira Riehl of Berlin R.D. and Elmira Riehl Schrock of Rockwood, and one brother. Mrs. Rector was a member of the Chapel at Brown and Vine Streets, also a member of the Daughters of America and the Ladies of the Grand Army. Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Don R. Long Funeral Home, with her pastor, Rev. Carl Burnham, officiating. Interment was made in the Glendale Cemetery.
