  Daniel M. Reed, 83, Berlin RD 1 died Sept 12, 1977 at the Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 9, 1894, in Somerset County.  A son of
  Cornelius and Mary (Keller) Reed.  Preceded in death by parents; wife,
  Margaret Rose; three sisters, four brothers, and four stepdaughters.
  Survived by these children: Webster, Friedens RD 2; Rev. David T., Hyndman
  RD 1; Dorothy Manages, Central City RD 1, Arthur, Berlin RD 1; Ray,
  Lancaster; Paul, at home and one step daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Syabo, Akron,
  Ohio, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  He was a World War I
  veteran, a member of Somerset Barracks 3218 Veterans of World War I.  The
  family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Charles
  R. Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown.  Services will be conducted at 11 a.m.
  Thursday, with the Rev. Marlin A. Miller officiating.  Interment, Walker
  Cemetery, Shanksville.
