Reed, 59, of Upper Makefield Township, died May 16, 1990 in Saint Mary Hospital, Middletown. Born in Philadelphia, he was a 20-year resident of Upper Makefield Township. He was the chairman and CEO of Reed Associates Inc., Harleysville. During the late fifties and early sixties he was employed by Clapper Manufacturing and made his home in Meyersdale where he was a member of the VFW No. 3504 and the Benevolent Order of the Elks. He was a gradute of LaSalle College High School and LaSalle University. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the occupation forces in Germany. He is survived by his wife, Kay Wilgus Reed; three daughters, Jennifer K., Laura L., and Karen E., all at home; two brothers, Alan E. Reed of Phoenixville and Donald A. Reed of West Chester, and one sister, Barbara L. Weir also of West Chester. A Mass was celebrated May 19th at St. George's R.C. Church, Titusville, NJ The Republic, June 14, 1990 [R225]
