  Edgar C. Reed, 76, of Rockton, Pa., died March 10, 1983, at Maple Avenue
  Hospital, Dubois.  Born Jan. 23, 1907, at Punxsutawney, the son of the late
  Edgar C. and Ella (Brennen) Reed.  Preceded in death by three brothers.
  Survived by wife, the former Edith Reed and these children: Mrs. Anna
  Himes, Mrs. Mary Principi and Mrs. Dorothy Pierce; also several
  grandchildren.  A brother of Jack B. of Reynoldsville, Pa.; Mrs. Lillian
  Lingenfelter, of Oak Park, Mich.; Mrs. Dorothy Pyle of Sidney, Mont.  Member
  of Presbyterian Church, Reynoldsville, and St. Paul's United Church of
  Christ, Somerset.  Also member of F.O.E. Reynoldville; Polish Citizens Club,
  Dubois; American Poultry Association; American Brown Leghorn Club; Wyndotte
  Bantam Club.  Blacksmith in early years with father in Reynoldsville and
  operated Reeds Autobody Repair in Reynoldsville until his retirement in
  1972.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Zepfell
  Funeral Home, Reynoldsville, and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the
  Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted
  at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Steven J.  Hendrickson officiating.
  Interment, Union Cemetery, New Centerville.
