  Edith Virginia Reed, 90, Somerset, died Aug. 11, 2004, at Siemon Lakeview
  Manor Estate, Somerset.  Born June 10, 1914, in Powhatan County, Va., the
  daughter of James Lidia and Maggie Catherine (Atcheson) Reed.  Preceded in
  death by parents, husband Edgar C. Reed, who died March 10, 1983, and
  sister Mary Bell Chamberlin.  Survived by nieces Mrs. Jean C. Hastings,
  Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Catherine C. Collins, Martinsville, Va.  Also many
  great nieces and great nephews.  Member of St. Paul's United Church of
  Christ.  Also retired after working many years as a clerk for the former
  J.C. Penney Co. Inc. in Somerset.  No viewing or visitation.  A private
  service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
  Interment New Centerville Union Cemetery.  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Somerset are in charge of arrangements.
