  Franklin L. Reed Sr., 58, Sunset Road, Friedens, died Feb. 15, 1999, at
  home.  Born March 30, 1940, in Stonycreek Township, son of Joseph and Madie
  (Grove) Reed.  Preceded in death by parents, and infant sister, Alice.
  Survived by these children: Sylvia, married to Timothy Hunt, and Melinda,
  married to Jeffrey Maust, both of Willow Springs, NC.; Roger L. Reed, at
  home; and Franklin L. Reed Jr., married to the former Jodie Miller, of
  Central City; also nine grandchildren.  Brother of Sarah R. Hart of
  Tarenturn; Glen Reed, married to the former Patricia Dunn, Newville, and
  Robert Dewey Reed of Stoystown.  Family will receive friends from 7 to 9
  p.m. Wednesday, at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be
  held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Richard T. Carter officiating.  Interment,
  Mizpah Cemetery.
