  Mary Belle Reed, 92, Elko, Nevada, formerly of Reynoldsville RD 3, died
  July 6, 1996, at home.  Born Jan. 26, 1904, in Henderson Twp., daughter of
  George and Katherine (Peace) Shepler.  Preceded in death by husband, Roy E.,
  and daughter, Mary L.; brothers, Homer and Dorsey Shepler, and sister,
  Bessie Pifer.  Survived by daughters: Naomi, Elko, Nev.; Jean, married to
  Robert Booth, Reno, Nev.; Jane, married to Ronald Baker (native of Springs,
  Pa.), Elko, Nev., and Carna, married to Lowell Friedline, Boswell RD 2.  Also
  survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  Was employed
  by Maple Avenue Hospital of Du Bois and the Washoe Hospital of Reno.  Also
  served on the Sykesville-Henderson School Board.  She was a lifelong member
  of the Paradise Community U.C.C. congregation, where friends are invited to
  attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday.  A memorial service will also
  be held on this date at Faith Lutheran Church, Reno, Nev.  In lieu of
  flowers, please make a donation to your local hospice or the American
  Cancer Society.
