Reedy, 83, Somerset RD 8, died Sept. 15, 1989, at his residence. Born Dec. 10, 1905, in Somerset, son of the late Charles Abraham Reedy and the late Bessie Mae (Pifer) Reedy-Gaynor. Also preceded in death by his stepfather, Harry Gaynor; brothers: Harry, Ernest and Robert; sisters: Mildred Reedy and Julia Fisher, also half-brothers: Frank Reedy and Tom Gaynor. Survived by his wife, the former Marie Brant, to whom he was married for 65 years, and these children: William D. Reedy and Mrs. C. William (Betty) Gorman, both of Somerset; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Ada Brown, Mrs. Mary Newell, Mrs. Carrie Shreffler and Charles Reedy, all of Somerset. Retired as a self-employed painting contractor after 40 years. Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, and F.O.E. Aerie 1801. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday (today) at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.
