  THOMAS E. REES SR. 
  
  Thomas E. Rees Sr., 75, 404 Cypress Ave., died Aug. 6, 1981, at Mercy
  Hospital.  He was born Aug. 9, 1905, in Meyersdale, son of William J. and
  Annie (Miller) Rees.  He was preceded in death by parents; wife, former
  Florence E. Lief; and sisters, Margaret Barnhart and Mary Liddick.  He is
  survived by son, Thomas E. Jr., married to former Patricia Ann Lux,
  Johnstown.  He was a member of Moxham Colonial Church of the Brethren; a
  retired employee of U.S. Steel Corp.  Friends were received at John
  Henderson Co.  Funeral Home, where services were held with the Rev. John D.
  Ellis, officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.  In lieu of
  flowers, friends may donate to American Cancer Society.
