Born March 10, 1930 in Humbert, a son of the late Arthur and Edna (Mitchell) Reeves. Survived by his wife, W. Dee Reeves, whom he married Dec. 30, 1951; stepmother, Edith Reeves of Marietta, Ohio; daughters Charlene Jones and husband Jerry of Cumberland, Ohio; Tammie Bailey and husband Mike, of Marietta, and Suzan Bashem and husband Jim, of Caldwell; sons, Rodney and wife Linda Reeves of Senecaville, Ohio, and Jamie and wife Michelle Reeves of Belle Valley, Ohio; brother Dewey Landis and wife Jenny Reeves of Marietta; sisters, Audrey Foster and husband Dave of Wellford, S.C., and Wilma Ward and husband Gerald, of Marietta; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was a retired iron worker and a member of Union Local 549, Wheeling, WVa., for 50 years. Also a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Caldwell Church of Christ and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kingwood IOOF Cemetery with the Rev. James Garrett officiating. Daily American, March 16, 2002 [R285]
