"Plug" Reffner, 70, 77 Cloud St., Jenners, died evening of May 12, 1982, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. Born Aug. 2, 1911, in Spangler, son of James and Olive (Mott) Heffner. Preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Alton and David. Survived by widow, the former Helen Ponsok, and these children: Diane, wife of Phillip Fritz, and Dwin, wife of Patrick Dunchak, both of Greenburg; Patricia, wife of Joseph Pelesky; James "Porter," married to the former Dorothy (Stoppe) Scrimager, and Gertrude, wife of Nick Pelesky, all of Jenners; and Gilbert, at home; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Brother of Gertrude Schuh, West Newton, Pa.; Dwin Hughes, Pittsburgh; Dodie Patrick, Robert, and Charles "Skip", all of Somerset; Howard, Tempe, Ariz.; Roy, Akron, Ohio. Member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jenner Rod and Gun Club, U.M.W.A. Local 1742, all of Jenners. Retired miner and formerly employed at Somerset State Hospital. Friends received from noon until 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell. Wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, the Rev. Lawrence Wolkonowski, O.F.M.Conv. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
