Reichard, 73, of Somerset RD 6, died March 6, 1979, at his residence. Born April 15, 1905, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Ernest J. and Ina (Bowers) Reichard. Preceded in death by two grandsons, one sister and four brothers. Survived by widow, the former Alice Marie Hoover; two children, Donald Lee of Somerset RD 6, and Mrs. Herbert (Luann Ellouise) Hochard of Somerset RD 4; a granddaughter, Virginia Deeter; and three great-grandchildren. Brother of Dewight, Mrs. Chester Hinkley, Mrs. Harry Rotz and Jere, all of Chambersburg; Milton of Shippensburg; David of Shady Grove, Pa.; and Mrs. Margretta Brooks of Rockville, Md. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Lavansville; Somerset I.O.O.F. Lodge; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Mr. Reichard and his wife owned and operated Reichard's Grocery at Lavansville for 30 years. Friends are being received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where service will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Walter Startzel officiating. Interment, Lavansville Cemetery. Daily American, March 7, 1979 [R312]
