"Babe" Reichenbecher, 83, of 2987 Cove Road, Accident, Md., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. Born January 8, 1921, in Cove, Md., she is the daughter of the late George E. and Elsie H. (George) Hetz. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Vernon E. "Tom" Reichenbecher; two sons, Vernon Reichenbecher Jr., and wife, Margaret, Huntington, W.Va.; Gary Reichenbecher and wife, Marla, Salisbury; two granddaughters, Jennifer McConda, Lexington, Ky. and Rebecca Reichenbecher, Oxford, Ohio; two step granddaughters, Leslie Cummings and Laura Fulkes, both of Huntington, W.Va. Mrs. Reichenbecher was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, ELCA, Cove and the Ladies Aide Society of the church. Babe was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, ELCA, with the Rev. Roland E. Nairn III, officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, ELCA or Northern Garrett County Rescue Squad.
