  Darrell J. Reid, 77, of Jennerstown, died June 24, 2001 at his residence.
  Born July 6, 1923 in Kitzmiller, Md., son of the late John and Mary Reid.
  Also preceded in death by wife, Betty Weimer Reid, brother, Garland, and
  sisters, Agnes Percherke and Bueanna Shaffer.  Survived by sons, Wilfred
  "Bill" Reid, married to the former Frances Weaver of Somerset, and Ronald
  Reid, married to the former Marlene Harvey of Sipesville; grandchildren,
  Teresa Reid Burk, married to Jesse of Somerset, Jolene Reid Barnes, married
  to Robert of Central City and Lori Dill of Stoystown; great-grandchildren
  Jessica, Samantha and Melissa Burk, Andrew, Zachary and Racheal Dill;
  sister, Reva Broacher of Somerset; also several nieces and nephews.  A U.S.
  Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Phillipines and New Guinea.
  Retired truck driver for Cooper/Jarrett.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m,
  Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday.  Rev. Raymond
  Lyon officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
