  EDGAR F. REID 
  
  Edgar F. Reid, 83, Hagerstown, Md., formerly of Confluence, died Thursday,
  July 7, 1983, in Akron, Ohio.  Born Aug. 1, 1899, in Confluence, a son of
  the late Alexander and Frances (Critchfield) Reid.  He is preceded in death
  by his wife, Anna Pearl (Grove) Reid.  He is survived by three children:
  Mrs. Aileen Carl, Hagerstown, Md.; William E., Copley, Ohio; and Dale E.,
  Tallmadge, Ohio; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister,
  Mrs. Isabella Hoover.  Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home in
  Confluence, where services were held July 10 with the Rev. David Bomboy
  officiating.  Interment, Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
